2/09/10 Due to the inclement weather, school has been cancelled for today, all after school activities are cancelled as well.  Stay tuned for further updates News and Announcements 2/08/10 Artist of the Week This week's featured artist is 5th Grader Ashlyn Britz with her Self Portrait Artist of the Week Profile 1/28/10 GCMS Project Ignition Selected for Top 10 GCMS High School has been chosen as one of the Top 10 schools in the country for their Teen Driver Safety Program Drive to Survive. This is all part of Project Ignition, a program sponsored by State Farm Insurance.  Project Ignition members will travel to San Jose, California. View the Press Release 1/29/09 Think Pink!   Feb. 23rd at 6:00pm, the 7th and 8th grade volleyball teams will be working with the PBL Lady Panthers to help raise breast cancer awareness and funds for the Ford County Relay for Life.  We are pre-ordering shirts.  Forms are available at all 3 School Offices.  They are $12 each.  If you would like to order one, please do so by Feb. 11. 1/26/09 ISAT/PSAE Resources Online   GCMS has gathered a collection of resources to help students prepare for the state exams.  To access these resources click on Tech Resources and choose ISAT-PSAE Resources 1/14/10 HOIC Forum on Public School Funding   GCMS Joined the 13 schools of the Heart of Illinois Conference at Heyworth on January 13.  This joint meeting of the conference talked about the future budget plans that are being worked on. Great job everyone! 11/16/09 Falcons Finish Record Breaking Season   An unforgettable season came to an end on Saturday as the Falcons fell to the #1 ranked Morrison Mustangs.  A big thanks goes out to the entire community for their wonderful support, it has been an amazing ride!
